ATTENTION TO FROST-DAMAGE

The wintertime is comming with temperatures under 0 degrees. If it is freezing outside, damages can happen to your torbo system. For example at the pump, at the pressure-vessel or it can crack your ball-vlaves.
To prevent your torbo for these frost damages and keep your machine in good condition for next works in winter you have to take certain preventive measurements after each use in order to avoid possible frost damages and to keep the machine consequently operational.
These measurements you will find described in detail in your instruction manual.
To guarantee a good start after wintertime into the new season we recommend to use the winter time to do the annual maintenance of your torbo sandblasting system
.

The expenses of a breakdown of the machine are normally higher than the costs of regular maintenance. Should you have further questions or like to arrange a date for maintenance please contact your dealer or the manufacturer in Borken.

In the year 1988 the test-power plant in Jülich, Germany, reactor 1 (Merlin) was shut down after 21 years of operation. After the shut down they decided to a full brake down.
The reactor of 2100 ton was built out and replaced in a containment about 200 meters further.

To remove the contaminated paint of the steel and cement constructions of the main building, two torbo systems type M120 have been applied. This had a non-polluting and financial aspect.

On one hand they have profit of a low dust-emission and on the other hand it saves costs through very low water- and blasting media-consumption.
All the waste of blasting media has to be packed and deported as contaminated waste.

torbo supports trainees to become a facade-cleaner

In the last summer the practical school of the state of Niedersachsen in Germany asked torbo to support the trainees of the façade-cleaning course with our torbo system.

We agreed to support this project with two of our machines. They started In the beginning of October.

For this reason our sales manager Andreas Schmatter went with two of our machines to the building of the Jazz-Club in Hannover because the facades of that club had to be cleaned on a gentle way. At first he explained the trainees the working of the machine till they had the confidence to work alone with it.

Already after a short time working with torbo they were enthusiastic about our sandblasting system. Because they already knew different systems for facade-cleaning they were positively surprised about the gentle way of cleaning of the facades without damaging the surface.
